Show and tell: Quotes from literature and popcultural reference in QAF
As I am no native speaker I probably haven't caught half of them.
For an "over the hill club boy" Brian has an astonishing knowledge of classic literature. Then there's Lindsay or Ben who naturally live in a more academic environment. Well, and Justin. too, of course. But it doesn't have to be hyper-intellectual. Just let us know what subtext you discovered in QAF.
I'll go first. There's this quotation techgirl pointed out lately: A thing of beauty is a joy for ever: Its lovliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness but still will keep a bower quiet for us, and a sleep full of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing. It's a poem by Keats as you probably didn't know (I didn't), but I guess all of you will know, when it's used: During the cancer arc, when Brian shows his first after-surgery boner to Justin and they happy-dance at Babylon. Hmmm, good times.
