Workplace Moments (Episode 406)
Scene One: I love this scene for more than a few reasons.
A) I always love competent, workplace Brian. Always.
B) I love sassy Cynthia moments.
C.1) I love that Cynthia directs some of what she's says to Justin and is all, "Hi, Justin." Like, she is so used to him at Brian's workplace, from Vangaurd to Kennetik. C.2) And when Brian mentions the thousands he's spent on Justin's aborted education and Justin asks if Brian is proud of him, these are things we usually only see when they're alone. Cynthia clearly has been present for many "alone type" times, for none of what's being exchanged seems to phase her and Brian and Justin seem to be completely at ease with her presence. C.3) The fact that Cynthia is privy to what would normally be Brian-and-Justin-only moments, makes my fandomly brain go "Ohh! That means eventually Ted will be privy to these things." Like Brian calling Justin's cell and being all, "The point of having a cell phone is that you're supposed to leave it on. Where the fuck are you?" *SLAMS DOWN THE RECEIVER*
D) But the number 1 reason I love it is b/c it's the first time since the S1 bashing that we see Justin behave completely goofy and cocky and uninhibited and just plain ole happy.
Scene Two: I love this for one reason.
Mikey and Justin are by this point close and comfortable enough that Justin sits behind the counter of Michael's Comic shop. And Justin's not merely behind the counter, taking a seat; he's totally back there and free to do whatever, like use the computer and check what is apparently a joint work email for Rage. *Loves this*
