OK, I think I understand better what you're saying now. Thanks! Personally, I like reading a variety of perspectives and opinions on whatever I'm studying. (As I'm sure you do, as well.) It's not that I don't have my own opinions, because I obviously do, but reading others' thoughts on a topic helps me to broaden and deepen my own understanding.
I don't think that the people involved in creating a show have any kind of monopoly on what a work means. On the other hand, I take their viewpoints more seriously than that of fangirls who hated season five simply because Brian and Justin didn't get married and live happily ever after in their mansion.
