I agree with outlander because I often hear people say that there is no such thing as a coincident or coincidence and that everything happens for a reason and because it is meant to happen (and I am not just referring to finding one's true love but in the opportunities that comes our way). Some things are just meant to be... but it is still up to the person/s involved or are under those circumstances, how and what angle they will tackle the opportunities presented. Brian and Justin meeting, it is meant to be in my humble opinion ... they are both catalysts to the major changes that will occur or is about to occur in both their lives as a friend, a father, a son, a student, a businessman, a lover, as a human being ... almost ALL areas covered.
I agree also with ahaw... Justin was definitely not Brian's type. He goes for a certain type and Justin does not fit at all, physically or age wise. But from the corner of his eyes, something caused Brian to STOP. He stopped when he spotted Justin. Something worth enough to change plans. He could have also fucked Justin right there in Babylon, outside Babylon or in the backroom. But he didn't, he dumped his friends, not to mention his best friend for a kid to take him to his loft. So there was definitely something there from the very beginning. It was of course so obvious on Justin's part... but oh so subtle on Brian's.
Brian sharing the shower scene story with Justin, was very surprising (even Michael was surprised), for someone who finds it difficult to talk/share (but it might just be the effect of drugs and alcohol consumed that night). I might even think that Brian wanted Justin to get to know him a bit or that he does not want Justin to leave right away, thus the chit chat :-D Brian might have even considered it quite a novelty at first, someone or something that might turn out to be fun. But I think at the very beginning, Brian might have seen or felt something, that beyond the innocence and the fragile looking teenager is something worth unraveling, be it courage, sweet innocence, just something, whatever it is that he, Brian “fucking” Kinney does not have, but wants or have the opportunity to explore. It puzzles me really, haaayyy... but what do I know anyway.
Hahaha, I do not know how to end this *toink*, there are still so many thoughts running in my mind but I need to stop now and it’s close to 3 am and I need to get up in awhile and I need to sleep now …. Zzzzzz
