Finally! The "Seasons" Challenge!
I owe everyone a huge, huge apology. I posted about my total fail at getting this challenge updated with its new timeline and altered theme (it had oringinally conflicted with the gift exchange and also with a multi-fandom holiday challenge), and said I'd be posting the new details shortly, and then, well, I went on a long business trip, got sick, and in general forgot all about it until yesterday when it hit me like a freight train.

I am so very sorry, especially as some folks have already submitted their fics! I understand how you feel, because I, too, have already written my story for this challenge.

So without further beating up of myself, let's get on with it!

The original theme was "Winter"... winter holidays, the season, cold weather, snow, being snowed in, winter sports... but in light of the passing of time (ahem, let me apologize once more), I've changed that to "Seasons," and you can interpret that however you wish -- seasons of the show, the seasons of the year, seasons of life, songs, films or books with the word "seasons" in them, television seasons, holiday seasons, sports seasons, anything at all related to the concept of "seasons." You can even write about Brian getting old like a finely seasoned wine. He won't LIKE it, but you can write it.

Entries can include any of the following: Fic of any length including drabbles; artwork/graphics including but not limited to icons and wallpaper; vids.

The "twist" is that, for the first time, crossover fic/other artworks will be allowed if that's what you want to write, with one restriction:

While you can use real people (eg, Adam Lambert) as well as characters from other fictional works (eg, Reid Oliver, Harry Potter) in your crossover work, none of the "Queer as Folk" actors or QAF-associated real people(eg, Gale Harold, Patrick Antosh) can be in it. It has to be the CHARACTERS of "Queer as Folk" interacting with the real people or characters of another fandom/fictional world. Comment here if you have a question.

Entries in the "Seasons" Challenge are due on Sunday, March 13, no later than 8 AM, US Pacific time and will be posted immediately after that.

To enter, please sign up on this post. There is no official date after which you can no longer sign up, but it's very motivating for other contributers, and for me, to see that people are planning to particiate, so please sign up as soon as you can. It's also very helpful to me to know how many entries to expect, so please, if you're going to submit something, sign up!

Important note: Please read all the information on the profile page HERE to ensure that your work meets all the criteria, or it will not be accepted -- this includes the rule that YOU MUST HAVE YOUR FIC BETA'D! (If you need help finding a beta, post here on qaf_beta  if you have an IJ; otherwise, please comment on this post and we'll spread the word).

The only deviations from those guidelines, which are for this challenge only, are that non-QAF real person fiction/slash/art will be allowed, and the deadline time is changed.

Fics and other works will, as usual, be posted anonymously for the first five days, during which time you may not reveal yourself as the author/creator or crosspost the work. The name of your beta will be withheld until the authors are revealed, and we ask that you not upload your art or vids to a site or account that identifies you by name/username, so as not to give away your anonymity.
