90. Drabbles: Stinky!Brian Over the Years
Title: Stinky!Brian Over the Years
Author: [info]noteverything
Theme: Sweat and Pheromones: A Brianite Ode to Beautiful Stinky!Brian
Notes: This is a series of five drabbles, one for each season of Queer as Folk, all individually titled. Thank you to my wonderful, amazing beta [info]jule1122 and to my wonderfully wacky teammates.

Decidedly So

“What the hell is taking so long?” Michael whined. “He said he would be an hour.”

“Call him again,” Ted said. “Maybe he got lost.”

“Goes to voicemail every time,” Michael pouted.

“I hope he didn’t decide to strangle Justin,” Emmett said. “Brian was awfully mad.”

Michael laughed. “We couldn’t get so lucky.”

“Michael!!” Ted and Em said in unison.

Michael stopped laughing. “I’m kidding. More than likely he fucked him as soon as he saw him.”

Just then, Brian and Justin made an appearance, Brian looking smug, and Justin looking decidedly well-fucked, both of them decidedly hot and sweaty.

*****************

The Game

Justin inhaled deeply, groaning low in his throat as he did. Brian smelled like sweat and sex, mixed with the clean, warm scent of denim and cinnamon gum. The combination was like a drug. Justin was hard as a rock. He sniffed again, pushing his nose into Brian’s chest, licking and sucking his way down to his dick.

“Did he suck you?” Justin asked. Without waiting for an answer, he buried his nose into Brian’s pubic hair before he sucked him eagerly into his mouth. Brian gasped, reaching down to grab Justin’s hair. This new game was definitely working out.

*****************

Sweating Bullets

Justin watched intently as Brian made his way back to him, angrily kicking the poster Stockwell had shoved at him.

He settled between Justin’s legs and pushed both hands into his hair, twisting and tugging aimlessly. He was sweating bullets, and Justin could already see the worry settling in. He reached up to push the hair back from Brian’s forehead and kissed his brow softly. Brian sighed and started to say something, but Justin stopped him with another soft kiss on his mouth.

Suspended between discovery and consequence, they lay tangled together until they both fell into a fitful sleep.

*****************

The Smell of Fear

Justin hadn’t slept for weeks. Three weeks, actually -- three fucking weeks -- of Brian leaving in the middle of the night, coming home hours later and crawling back into bed, sometimes smelling of sweat, sometimes of soap, always quiet and withdrawn the next morning.

It felt strangely familiar and that’s what worried him the most. He knew the signs, and he remembered the nasty rush of guilt that settled in the pit of his stomach when he realized Brian knew.

He’d hoped they’d never be in this place again, but now, following Brian down a dark street, Justin was scared shitless.

*****************

Mesmerizing

Justin watched, fascinated, as a bead of sweat ran slowly down the side of Brian’s face, dropping onto bare skin beneath him. Brian’s eyes were closed, his head thrown back in a grimace of pleasure and his hair slapped wetly against his forehead with each thrust. Transfixed by Brian’s pleasure, Justin’s jaw slackened and his eyes glazed.

When Brian finally looked up and saw Justin, he grinned and asked, “How was your flight?”

Feeling a bit sweaty and out of control himself, Justin snapped out of his reverie and smiled wickedly back at Brian. Watching Brian Kinney fuck was mesmerizing.

Watching Brian Kinney fuck was mesmerizing.

Oh God, I am sure it IS.

I loved each and everyone of these. None more than the next, because they're all totally uniquely brilliant and perfect for the time in their sweat-filled lives each represents.

At one point I was literally laughing out loud and clapping my hands (I *think* here: "This new game was definitely working out."), at another point I wiggling back down in my seat, getting ready to take it all in more serious.

This was a wonderful treat. Each drabble stands on its own and has that killer last line that illuminates an already brilliant drabble. Well done!!!!!!

Somehow reading these together makes me love than even more. Pitch perfect as always. I think The Smell of Fear is still my favorite because it captures something I never would have thought to look for but I now know is there.

Wow. So many emotions in so few words.
You had me laughing, panting, and sniffling, each a couple of times, just in this one page.

You are giving me whiplash and I like it.
I can't pick a favorite because they each stand out so amazingly on their own.
Though I will admit I am rather fond of the visual in Mesmerizing.

Brian smelled like sweat and sex, mixed with the clean, warm scent of denim and cinnamon gum.
I want an air freshener that smells like this. Seriously.

I love each of these and how the give us a peek into the seasons and how Brian and Justin were feeling. You have captured the changes in their relationship over the years with the subtle shift in tone from one drabble to the next.

I the The Game & Mesmerizing are my favorites of the bunch... But only by the slimmest of margins. I have a thing for cinnamon gum and Justin walking in a Brian in that scene in S5 is one of most gorgeous things ever.

These were so enjoyable!
"The Game" was my favorite.
I can definitely imagine Brian smelling like "sweat and sex, mixed with the clean, warm scent of denim and cinnamon gum."
Yum. ;)

You really have an amazing knack for hitting just the perfect tone. I can practically taste, smell & feel the essence of the season in each drabble.

The light-hearted, joyous discovery in S1.

The underlying question of "What are we doing?" from S2.

The anxiety and "clinging to each other as their world implodes" of S3.

The angst and regret of S4.

And the "seeing each other as they truly are" of S5.

Love them all, but, as is usual, I am a little partial to Season 4.

But my goodness, what lovely feedback.

Thank you so much. That made it worth every second of writing them.
