Purgatory Communication

I am sure you've all been enjoying the constant darkness and not having to worry about the sun, and I appreciate that for the most part you have heeded our laws here in Louisiana. I would hope that you will all continue to do so in order to avoid assisting the humans and other beings in panicking more than they are at present. The situation remains perilous, even to those such as ourselves. There has been no human-on-vampire violence recently and I intend to keep it that way.

If there are any new arrivals that are in need of housing, please contact my office and we will do what we can to find you an appropriate residence while you are here.

Also, if you witness, hear, smell, or sense anything suspicious, please contact me or my office immediately. It goes without saying that we are better equipped than the humans to notice things out of the ordinary and the sooner a cause can be found for both the creature attacks that have been occurring across the state and the darkness, the better for all of us. Some of you may not agree with me but I ask you to look at it from this perspective: if the humans and other blood-compatible beings continue to be attacked, what will happen to the blood supply? I am well aware that not all of you care for the taste of synthetic blood, so a sharp decrease in the human population would greatly affect you. Therefore, it is in all of our best interests that at the very least, the creature attacks are resolved.

Damn, that was close! Creepy, twisted things out there. I'm fine now. Just had a tougher fight than I'm used to. Came out of nowhere. Starting to feel just a little bit like Quartoth right now. That definitely wasn't a fun Hell dimension vacation spot to be at either.

Good evening, everyone. I know you all have questions and I assure you, answers continue to be sought out. Very thoroughly sought out ever since this situation fell upon us. As I'm sure you can imagine, this is not a simple problem and thus we cannot expect a simple solution. But we are trying.

The random attacks that have been reported recently are being looked into and I am confident that both the Bon Temps and Shreveport police are doing all they can to increase patrols and keep their eyes and ears open. I would, however, recommend that people stay inside during the deepest part of the night when the darkness is at its thickest, between midnight and 6 am. This recommendation is not simply for humans, but for everyone. Now, I am well aware that not everyone will heed this warning, and that is your choice, though I hope you will consider the warning for your own safety. Just because one can withstand a fight or attack does not mean they should dare one to occur.

I know we continue to have new arrivals to our charming state, and while I understand you did not ask to come here, while you are here you will obey our laws. Human, vampire, or otherwise. In trying times it is all the more important for order to be kept, and it will be kept. Anyone found to be breaking laws will be dealt with accordingly. New vampires are strongly encouraged to report to Fangtasia and declare yourselves if you have not already. It is in the best interest of weres to do the same; I promise no harm will come to you so long as you do not seek to harm us. If you do not do this, I suggest you declare yourself to the Louisiana pack leader. Rouge weres may be treated as hostile otherwise.

For those still seeking housing, we will continue to do what we can, but expenses will only be covered for a few weeks. After that grace period, you will need to pay your own way, just like the rest of us. Special arrangements may be made, but only on a case-by-case basis.
