No one had seen the device until it was too late. It was a softly humming contraption of gears and blinking lights. It was unknown if it was a device of pure science or one of science mixed with magic, you couldn't really tell when dealing with Dr. Doom, a man of science but with a grasp of magic strong enough to take the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme. Regardless, the switch was flipped and all you could hear was his cackling as the pulse exploded outwards. The silence was deafening as destruction followed the shockwave outwards.
When the smoke cleared, Doom was nowhere in sight. There were others among the destruction that had not been there before though. The remnants of battle clung to the others that lay in front of the tear in what looked to be reality itself as lightening crackled around it as the tear sealed itself.
It would take SHIELD investigating and debriefing the new comers to learn they were far from home…but not in the way one might think. It wasn’t a parallel universe on the other side of that rip, just the future.
Avengers 2.0 is a Next Gen Avengers game and a small, collaborative GPSL set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where the Avengers of the future end up in the past, a few months after the events of the Avengers movie. Because plot is player-driven, we are looking for enthusiastic writers who enjoy having more direct control over their storylines. Due to the nature of the tear in time and space, the Next Gen Avengers will be arriving at different points as they are applied for, while they all left the future at the same time they are not arriving in the past that way.
