I would really love a line for Hera/Zeus. I used to play in a game where the gods were sent to earth during a war of gods, forced into the bodies of mortals, having to share soul spaces. Some of the time the god soul was active, sometimes it was the mortal. It was in a modern setting, and I'd like to keep it there (for the most part).
I'd love to revamp this if possible, not necessarily knowing one another at first, or one of them having an active god-soul and the other not, or whatever, I am totally open.
I have a lot of my own headcanon with Zeus/Hera too. Hera and Zeus are sort of perfect for each other. Yes, Zeus had two wives before her, but Hera was the Proper wife, the one that was always meant to be his Queen and even though he strays and she well...kills the strays, they will never be complete without the other. That isn't to say they don't get into some huge ass fights, cause uhm....that happens. Hera also does follow the tradition of purifying rituals, remaining a virgin goddess (aka one a year she goes and does rituals to return her virginity) and well...Zeus is a pig, I'm sure he enjoys her coming home from those...
There is also a line that could/can be combined with the above (or not) regarding the two of them while on Olympus still. Hera had Hephaestus because she was jealous of Zeus having given birth to Athena so she went about having a baby without a man in return. I have two ways I liked to play that, either with Hera lying to Zeus when she comes back and the baby Hephaestus actually being his OR Hera had her one and only affair to produce him but SAID she ate the heart of a flower to get knocked up. Which god that was is open.
My preference is to play Hera, I'd want to use someone like Marion Cotillard or (dark haired) Emilia Clarke, or perhaps Odette Annable. For Zeus I'm really open, I'd like someone a little older, like Sean Bean, but I wouldn't say no to Henry Cavill. Mostly he needs to just have presence.
This wouldn't be a fluff line at all, I want the fights and the screaming and the Zeus cheating on Hera still but always coming home to her. I want her to be powerful and Zeus to sometimes treat her like she's nothing only to have that slapped hard in his face, I want her to walk around like she owns the place only for him to remind her of his Phenomenal Cosmic Power. I want Zeus to get hurt or sick and he comes crawling to her to be babied, I want Hera to cry at a wedding and he takes her hand and kisses her temple and smiles at her reminding her of their own.
So okay, it's a bit much, I just really have a hankering for their dynamic. It doesn't have to be this in-depth. I'm open to journals or chat. Comment or PM me if your interested!
