Star Wars psls, hooray! I've picked up a couple of lines recently but I've had some AU ideas swirling around in my mind, so I figured I might as well see if anyone would be interested in trying them out too! I'm in a bigtime Vaderkin mood.
1) I'm a big sucker for AUs that explore the Skywalker family, be it a Luke-is-raised-by-Vader (/a similar idea with Leia) / an Anakin-doesn't-turn-for-such-and-such-reason-so-now-he-and-Padme-have-kids-to-raise / a Vader-doesn't-die-at-the-end-of-ROTJ-so-Luke-is-happy-but-Leia-rages...basically any number of alternatives that explore the family dynamics, considering there wasn't a whole lot of time for that in the movies. Leia's relationship with him in particular goes unexplored because she doesn't find out until late in ROTJ and it switches away like a minute later. I don't know how many Luke or Leia players there are out there, but it would be heavenly to find some. We could even pull in characters like Han Solo (& Chewie)/Mara Jade/Obi-Wan and make it a small group psl if enough people are interested, though we could also split them off between us if not.
2) A darker AU (the above is fairly family-centric) involving Anakin turning to the dark side but actually going through with killing the Emperor. Padme would live, and instead of Obi-Wan going into hiding alone, he would go into hiding with Padme to help her protect the babies. The psl would focus on the two of them attempting to save him without, you know, getting themselves killed. This isn't intended to be a shiny-happy-instant-turnaround (the near-miss happy ending falls into the above Anakin-doesn't-turn option). My only stipulation is that it not turn into an Obi-Wan/Padme romantic ship because I believe too strongly that they love Anakin/the memory of Anakin too much, even if he turned to the dark side. Padme's dying belief that there's still good in him/Obi-Wan's repeated rejection of his own romantic interests make me feel pretty firm on it. Not to say we can't work in some post-Jedi-Order-destruction romance for Obi-Wan if it's wanted by whoever plays him, but I'm not into Obidala and want to hold onto Padme's love for her husband. We could each take on either Padme or Obi-Wan, and I'd take on Vader when they interact with him; I'm not exactly sure how the line would be structured yet, as that would be something we discuss together. Another alternative is to also add in Ahsoka (from The Clone Wars animated series) as a Vader apprentice so it's two-and-two...We don't know yet what happens to her between TCW and ROTS, but this is already AU anyway. That's actually my preferred option, or if you don't like Ahsoka/aren't familiar with her, we could make it some other random Force-sensitive person. Ahsoka just has the benefit of already being close to who Anakin was pre-Vader. If there are other characters an interested person wants to throw into the mix (like Bail Organa, Yoda, Tarkin, Duchess Satine or someone else if that romantic drama is wanted for Obi-Wan, though Satine ties in with both Obi-Wan and Padme...etc.), we can have them popping in occasionally too.

Hey everyone, i'm a huge Marvel comics fan and i've fallen in love with the NEW Dark Avengers team that was put together by Norman Osborn. Since it's still going on in the "New Avengers" comics right now I would really like to sort of do our own thing with it. I'd love to get some PSL's going with the rest of the team, but i'm mostly looking for someone to play June Covington/Dark Scarlet Witch! Their armies swept the kingdom. Their influence, as vast and unforgiving as the eastern desert, extends from green vale to frozen north. All know to fear and serve the Qin in equal part, most particularly Character A, whose modest writing shop provides a meager income to his sprawling, boisterous clansmen. When visited by the Qin Captain on the subject of a letter, he is polite and sincere, never suspecting that his clan father will receive an offer of alliance through marriage within the fortnight. That Character A is a man does not impede the Qin, for their ways are strange and they often take concubines and slaves of either sex to their beds. But Character A is an old man, already past his prime, with two grown daughters and no sons, his first wife dead many years ago. He cannot fathom being wanted by another man, nor sold in marriage by his clan father. He is wrong.
I’d like to play the Qin Captain in a threading only line using the (original) high fantasy premise described above. I’m looking for an older male character to fill the role of Character A (35+, ideally 40+). Any takers?
