The future is this: a sprawling metropolis that blankets every square inch of habitable land, a night’s sky clouded with mechanized cities in addition to stars, and a world government that controls it all. The year is 2309, and humanity is at its industrial peak; the only possible movement now is down.

It was in 2291 that something found us. An alien race so superior yet so lacking that they needed humanity for their own survival--their only hope.

They sent down five, just five individual pinpricks of light, and waited fifteen, twenty years for them to grow. Each alien being took a host, and it was through these young men and women that the formidable alien race would learn what they needed to know in order to use the humans for their salvation.

Meanwhile, earth's International Government had also made a discovery: an alien technology so advanced and intricate, yet so within their grasp that they couldn’t help but take it: tiny microchips that could unlock and enhance facets of the human body, if only IG scientists could figure out how to use them. They had to know—such a technology would lend unfathomable strength to the world’s military if it could be unlocked. But ethics proponents blocked the testing of the microchips on humans at every turn, until finally the military took matters into their own hands.

They built a space station and made a school. One school for twenty five gifted individuals—a school that doubled as a research lab, a fully functional, fully legal, research lab. Except for the parts that weren’t.

Now that they have their test subjects, the question is, can the IG keep their façade from crumbling? Even more importantly—who had the power to create such a technology…and why?

And there’s one more thing, something the IG doesn’t know: they have been infiltrated.

PREMISE
In 2015, Valley Dynamics, a renowned global technological giant, developed bio-mechanical androids called NeohumansTM. They were hailed as a breakthrough in artificial intelligence and the next generation in computer technology, NeohumansTM became available to anyone who could afford them at the time.

Unknown to the public, around the same time that NeohumansTM were being developed, Valley Dynamics was also working on a more subtle version of bio-mechanical androids called Facsimiles that can blend seamlessly into the general population.

Now in 2020, whether it be from outside influence or internal, NeohumansTM and Facsimiles alike are experiencing glitches in their programming. Only a small number of cases have occurred so far, just small things that Valley Dynamics have managed to take care of one way or another. But something bigger is coming and no one, not even those at Valley Dynamics, knows what it is, when it will happen, and least of all why.
