[info]disney_icontest: This is an icon contest community with (currently) two week long icontests. If action picks up things will be changed to move more quickly, and we may even have a last icon maker standing competition (LIMS)!
In the meantime, we are focusing on all things Disney. We will rotate through various movies, themes, television shows, and even attractions at the parks!
At the end of each challenge, after all the icons are submitted, there will be a voting post and voters will not only pick their 3 favorite but also provide feedback on those icons. Awards and banners will be provided based on amount of votes received. Mod Pick will be chosen based on a combination of voters preference (fourth place if you will) and the Mod's choice.

There is still time to enter the most recent competition!

In a world where the Boy-Who-Lived became the Boy-Who-Lived-No-Longer, where the Battle of Hogwarts did not mark the end of our saga, where Harry Potter and his wife were killed later on as were his parents, things are grim; times are dark. The forces of a New Dark Lord have come together. He seems unstoppable. He has all the power in Wizarding Britain. It is now 2020. Can the next generation fare better?

Just For Kicks is a trio-era, Hogwarts based RPG that is - you guessed it! - Just For Kicks. It's all about putting the 'play' back into role-paying and having a good time. We are looking to add the following to our cast:

Slytherins! Cunning, ambitious, sly - you get the picture!
Soon to be Seventh years - like Cho Chang, Marietta Edgecombe & Cormac McLaggen to name a few!
Some kid named Harry Potter.

Really, though, anybody on our available list would be welcome!

The Seven Kingdoms are without a King and the ancient game of thrones begins anew. For almost a thousand years the Targaryens have reigned, yet now the powers of the world watch with greedy anticipation as Westeros sinks into turmoil. The lords of the land have met in the capital city to choose one of their own to rule, but not one of them has forgotten their ancestors were kings of separate lands. Will there be Seven Kingdoms once more or will the Lords put aside their pride and vote to place one alone upon the treacherous Iron Throne? [info]unexpectedrpg is a brand new AU Harry Potter role play for those who are tired of the same old drive toward war torn Britain. With Voldemort dead and his Death Eaters scattered to the winds, Kingsley Shaklebolt had stepped out of the ashes as a leader to bring the Wizarding world back to the proud position it had once held.

No one had expected what he was about to do.

For three years Kingsley led the way in the reconstruction of wizarding society, but his mind was not as sound as he would have the world believe. For him there were two main issues that prevent the community from fully healing: low population and the dislike between those of pure and mixed blood. Kingsley fully believed that by correcting these issues he would be creating the perfect society. It was this desire of perfection that led to the introduction of the Kinglsey's marriage and family planning legislation.

As of January 1st, 2002 the Decree of Marriage and Family Planning took effect. All unmarried citizens of legal age are now required to register their marital status with the Ministry as of their seventeenth birthday. Those who do not apply by the new laws are considered social terrorists. The cells of Azkaban now have new attendents. Those who do register in accordance with the decree can expect an official letter stating the time and place of their wedding, as well as the Ministry approved match. With the legislation all marriages are now a matter of Ministry approval.
