Lilly hoped that everyone would be happy with what she and Dan had done. It was not much, but it was something nice at least. She still wasn't completely sure what their parents actually thought about them. They were nice enough about things, but Lilly knew all of this had to be just as weird for them as it was for her, and Dan, and Johnny. With everything this place could throw at them, she hadn't ever expected to be sent into the past. She should have known better, expect the unexpected with this place. She helped Dan with making the sandwiches, since each knew their own parents better than the others.
She balanced the plates to bring to her parents. Dan had taken care of Johnny's, so Lilly's work was easy enough. He was always so considerate like that. She was pretty small, though not as small as her mother was. Veronica had been pretty hungry, so it seemed like this whole thing went well enough. And it kept them busy for a bit. She joined him so they could go back in the kitchen and wait for the soup to be finished. She doubted it would be long now.
"Yeah, I think they really appreciated it." Lilly said, smiling. Once the soup was served, they could work on cleaning up a bit. Normally the kitchen would never look this way. This was just a sign of how stressed out everyone was. But they'd get through it. She had to believe that. "Anytime." She told him, nodding. It had been a very good idea, and it got them up and doing something, which was very much needed at the moment. And then once the kitchen was cleaned, Lilly fully intended to watch a movie with him, and fall asleep in his arms.
