Lilly nodded, she didn't figure anyone had really been able to sleep. They were all afraid. She thought even their dads were afraid, but too proud to say it. This wasn't supposed to be happening, but in this place...nothing could be written in stone. Sometimes things just happened that didn't make any sense. Like this guy coming back after being gone. That was just normal for the Project. They'd grown up in it, they were used to what it could do. But this was too much. This was their moms, their young moms. And they couldn't let anything happen to anyone in their family.
"I hope so too." Lilly said in agreement, with him. She hated to feel so useless. She wanted to be able to help. Though, she guessed maybe her presence there helped a little. But she wasn't sure that was good enough. Her parents were both so kickass and a force to be reckoned with, and Lilly could be that too. But what did that matter against a vampire? It wouldn't do anyone any bit of good if they got themselves killed. But living in fear was not living either. Something had to give. She just really hoped that it would be over soon. None of them should be having to deal with this, especially not D's mom, who was currently pregnant with D's little sister.
"I know we will." Lilly said. She really wanted to believe D. They had a great life in the future of this place, but now they were in the past. Everything was different. The technology was more than a little outdated, compared to what they were used to. And their parents didn't know them like they did in the future. It had been an adjustment on that alone, but now dealing with this was sheer madness. But Lilly believed D when he said Brian would be stopped. He had to be. The alternative was unthinkable.
