Lilly was scared. She was trying to do what her dad said, but it was hard. She'd sat up with her mother for most of the night. It was difficult though, her mother didn't know her like she did in the future. It had to be so weird for all of them. And Lilly didn't really know how to connect with them. She was doing her best, but it might not be good enough. She didn't like second guessing herself, but her parents were younger and so different than the ones they knew in the future.
Lilly liked to spend most of her time with Johnny, and of course Dan. They came from the same time. They understood her. She had tried to connect with her mom though, and it seemed to make Veronica feel a bit better. She'd been so willing to give up their lives to save them last night...it was terrifying. None of them should have been going through this. Especially not her mom and Tess. Lilly was a bit afraid of how willing she'd been last night to take matters into her own hand. She would have taken her own life, and that was more than a little scary to think about now. But fuck that Brian guy, he wasn't going to get the pleasure of killing her.
Things seemed calmer today, at least. She hadn't really slept. She suspected none of them were sleeping well right now, even with Alex's husband and his brother hunting Brian. She didn't know if they would be able to relax until it was over. And maybe that was exactly what Brian wanted, for them all to live in fear, and not know when he would make his move. She pushed the thoughts out of her mind, as she walked into the living room and saw D.
No matter how low or horrible Lilly was feeling, he always had a way of making her smile. It was stressing her out, how much their parents protested their relationship. She loved him. So much. And she didn't have a clue how to be without him. She hoped she'd never have to find out. She sat down on the couch next to him, settling in. She wasn't sure what movie he wanted, but it didn't matter. She just wanted to be close to him.
