Subaru still wasn't sure what to make of this place. He was nine years in the future, and not only that but Seishirou was alive and well. There was no need for two sakurazukamori in the world, so he was biding his time, waiting for Seishirou to kill him. It was his turn, after all. He should have been the one to die last time, but Seishirou had managed to surprise him in the end. As always.
He leaned against the wall at the edge of the roof, staring out at the lights of the city and silently smoking a cigarette. He was trying to make sense of everything. It shouldn't have been possible, but over the years he had come to realise that a lot of things that should have been impossible weren't.
