While the nation reels from the Headmaster's mysterious demise, propaganda and guerilla violence flourish. Having ridden the coattails of this aura of fear, Bartemius Crouch, Sr. has risen to power, widely supported and completely unchecked; slowly he has transformed the Ministry of Magic into an Orwellian regime. Now nothing but a Dark Lord with approval ratings, Crouch's fanatical pursuit of order tightens his choke hold on Britain.
