Even the reign of the Death Eaters are poised to take over Hogwarts, the decision on which side to choose rests on the shoulders of the students. The Wizarding World is under attack. Two murders in the last month have witches and wizards on edge and purists thinking the tables have been turned, because now they're the ones dying.
Who killed Draco Malfoy and William Greengrass? Recently released Death Eaters angry at cohorts who didn't go to Azkaban? Former Order Members taking their revenge now that they're free again? Or a child grown up in the years of peace, seeking justice, revenge, or a whole new war?
Who's next on their list?
Verso is a Harry Potter AU murder mystery game that explores what happens when the tables are turned. Will the Order reform and defend known and suspected purists? Will the DMLE take the threat seriously? Will the former Death Eaters brush up on rusty skills to exact revenge? Clues will be dropped with each murder, allowing players the opportunity to solve the crimes... but how many people will die first?

INSPERATUS RPG
It is 1979. A war has been raging for almost a decade, headed by the one they call the Dark Lord. Chaos and catastrophe are commonplace. Fear is palpable. Trust is a luxury none can afford. The Wizarding community of Great Britain remains resilient to the continued waves of attacks carried out by the Death Eaters. The Ministry of Magic is holding strong against insurrection by Lord Voldemort. The Order of the Phoenix is opposing these dark forces in secret.
Life at Hogwarts remains relatively normal for its students, what with the war being waged outside of the safety provided by the castle walls. But for the children brought up during the latest Wizarding conflict, for those of whom war is a way of life, there is no real escape.
Everybody has an opinion. Everybody is involved somehow. Everybody will have to pick a side, if they haven't done so already. How long will it be before the battle erupts within the halls of Hogwarts?
Expect the unexpected.

As the Wizarding world struggles to adjust, a new threat looms. Soon, people will be attacked by an unknown foe. Only this time, it isn't Muggleborns and their sympathizers who are in danger. It's purists.
Draco Malfoy has just been killed, murdered on his way home from his stag night. Now people are wondering: is this an attack of opportunity or the start of something more? The DMLE is trying to solve the case, but few clues are available.

Life at Hogwarts remains relatively normal for its students, what with the war being waged outside of the safety provided by the castle walls. But for the children brought up during the latest Wizarding conflict, for those of whom war is a way of life, there is no real escape.
Everybody has an opinion. Everybody is involved somehow. Everybody will have to pick a side, if they haven't done so already. How long will it be before the battle erupts within the halls of Hogwarts?
Expect the unexpected.

In 1981 Peter Pettigrew kidnapped Harry Potter and brought him to Lord Voldemort. The resulting battle ended the Wizarding war. Harry Potter survived, as did his parents, but Voldemort was dead, Dumbledore was missing and presumed dead, and many Death Eaters and Order Members alike were in Azkaban.
Now, in 1999, the political tide has changed. Faced with the reality that exposure to Dementors is inhumane, the Ministry has closed Azkaban and granted all the prisoners a full pardon.
As the Wizarding world struggles to adjust, a new threat looms. People are being attacked by an unknown foe. Only this time, it isn't Muggleborns and their sympathizers who are in danger. It's purists.

Verso still has a wide variety of availale characters. In particular, we are looking for the formerly incarcerated, DMLE members, and purists. Extra plot is available for the formerly incarcerated if desired. Full lists of wanted characters as well as the current cast and holds can be found below.
There will be some driving plot, but the game will also be heavily character driven.
