Maybe — Maybe joining Miss Tele tonight just wasn’t a good idea at all, not at all, not whatsoever, nope; not good. Slowing down with her friend, Pearl took the moment to try and compel herself to breathe properly and calm down, despite all the information that she was trying to take in and properly digest. Death wasn’t a pleasant thing, but Miss Tele or ‘Miss Death’, was such a nice person. How could she be so pleasant despite her job? The child shook for a moment until she managed to control her breathing, which in turn brought her color back to her cheeks. A good thing too, as it would otherwise mean that she would have fallen into unconsciousness.
She gave a few soft nods to the older woman, still attempting to understand everything. So she didn’t kill anyone and they wouldn’t be there forever — but if she didn’t, then how did she walk someone into death? Wouldn’t they have to be killed in order to die? Pulling one of her hands from Tele’s arm, keeping her hand gripped tightly to Tele’s palm as she still refused to let go and be lost, she touched her palm to her forehead and rubbed lightly to try and will her headache away.
“How can you not know where we’re going? Didn’t… Didn’t you make the path? This… This thing, I mean?”
There was a bit of a relieved sigh as she told her that she wasn’t ‘due for a while’ and to keep her sanity, Pearl decided not to dwell on how long the ‘while’ she spoke of might have been.
