Poseidon Academy Roleplay

It is with great relief that I announce no one was harmed during the hurricane that took place over the weekend, nor were any of our school buildings or dormitories. I have heard, too, that it appears there was minimal damage in the city and very few people who were injured — minor injuries, mind you, but nevertheless, all seems to be well once more here on our little island.

This said, naturally you may all return to your dorms or other living arrangements knowing that everything is nor fine and there is no reason to worry about flooding or other disasters that come with dealing with such an ordeal.

And, of course I would require a bit of assistance with cleaning up the gymnasium from its usage over the weekend as a safe house. To any and all who can help with this — I would be most grateful.

One last thing before I, myself, go to begin with the cleaning up: I thank you all for coming in such a timely and calm manner to the gym and keeping your heads. I do know that it was a less than ideal stay, considering the sheer amount of people and lack of space, not to mention the lack of things to do throughout the day for the younger ones, but I appreciate all of your level heads in this situation.

Attention all Faculty and Students:

As you may have noticed if you’ve been following the local weather stations and news channels, there is a mass warning surrounding a hurricane making its way near our little island. This could be devastating for our school and homes as we know it. Being such a small island there is little safe areas to hide within in order to avoid flooding or worse.

Be that as it may, it has come to my attention that this hurricane will not miss this area as it has been predicted. I am not one to call the weatherman a liar, but I have a certain hunch that we will be in need of searching for higher ground, so to speak.

That said, the safest place for us to be will be the school’s gymnasium, typically used by the elementary, middle and high schools alike. In a calm and orderly manner, I suggest both packing lightly and meeting there as soon as you can possibly arrive. While it is a fearsome experience, we need not have everyone flooding in all at once, do remain calm.

We’ve been told this storm will miss us and I assure you it will not.
We’ve been told we will be safe and again, I assure you we will not.

There is literally little time to wait for this storm to be near us.
It is above us and will hit any moment.
I urge you to get here now. I cannot protect you if you are not present.
