The darkness surrounding was making her feel somewhat claustrophobic despite it being a large opened area, or so she assumed, the black that was all to be seen felt engulfing. At times, she felt as though she might not be able to breathe, but listening to Tele was helping. Or at least, it seemed to be until she mentioned something about dying and death and being the person known as ‘Death’ herself. Normally, she might have stopped in her tracks from the shock and surprise of something like that, but if this was the walk of death or something like that then Pearl did not want to be left on her own in this place. She didn’t want to die, after all.
And then a horrifying thought crossed her mind — what if she was being ‘walked’? It wasn’t her time, was it? Then again, how would she know if it was, that was Death’s job, not her own. Feeling the color leave her skin, Pearl’s grip on the older girl’s arm tightened all the more, her fear and worries simply increasing in rather high doses now — the darkness certainly wasn’t helping anything either. Shivers continue to trail down her spine as her worry progressed.
