“Problems?” [While she might have asked him jokingly just a few moments ago if said ‘problems’ might have been a lack of protection to be with a hooker — or some other form of paid service girl, the thought didn’t even cross her mind once she’d brought up Nate.]
“If you say so, Chunky. I’m not sure how many problems would arise from talking about thoughts.” [She smiled, though it was different than before somehow, less openly flirtatious and more conservative now.] “After all that’s what a reporter tends to do on a daily basis. But then again, reporters get a lot of flack so you might be onto something.”
[Taking a moment to collect her thoughts, she finds herself sort of frowning. Maybe she should call Nate. Something was suddenly nagging the back of her mind that she should talk to the treasure hunter and do so soon.]
“Anyway,” [A glance to her cell phone on the desk.] “You are probably busy Chunky, so why don’t I let you get back to work?”
