So... Not that I want to alarm anybody, but after I was accosted for no reason by someone in line getting a donut, I decided to do an aura scan. (Okay fine, so maybe I was asking for suggestions on which kind of donut to get because really, there are tons of different flavors, and I wasn't sure if I wanted something more fruity or more chocolatey. So, I decided on chocolatey. But my point is that it's no reason to attack someone like that.)

Where was I?

Oh yeah! Aura scan. Basically... everyone's aura is looking a little bleak these days, guys.

You can... scan auras?

Oh yeah! I sure can. I use my hands. They're aura scanners, but I have to always wear gloves cause if not then my hands will be scanning for auras all the time and... well, I black out. I used to black out a lot as a kid and no one knew why until one of my doctors figured it out and prescribed a pair of gloves that I've had ever since!

Wow. This place is so strange. I didn't know it was some sort of medical condition. But it sounds really interesting, and it's nice that you don't black out anymore.

Well, it is a medical condition or at least it will be in the future. Or maybe it's already developing, because I'm going to be 10-years-old this year, and I've already had it for years.

What shows in auras to you?

Anyone and anything in my vicinity. I have to limit it because if not I'll be overwhelmed by all the auras of everything. It's why I wear gloves.

Is it temporary fluctuations like mood or are they more consistent over time? I've met people who could see things in different spectrums like that. One time I gave a lift to someone who could tell when people's electrolyte balances were off.

More consistent really. It allows me to detect variations in living things.

I don't think I gave you permission to scan my aura, weirdo.

I didn't scan your aura. You weren't near me when I did it. But I can if you want to!

Chocolate, dude. The answer is always chocolate.

But what does the whole aura thing mean?

Well it really depends on how I wake up in the morning. Sometimes I prefer something more fruity and other times more chocolatey. But this particular morning, I was craving chocolate.

It's an extrasensory perception that allows me to detect variations in living things.
