Who: Sam Winchester & Katherine Pierce What: having drinks, catching up When: Monday, late afternoon/early evening Where: Bar Fly Warnings: TBD
Katherine had been right, Sam hadn't been keeping in touch with her. It was a shame, really, since she'd been his first friend upon arriving here, and a lot of the other friendships he'd tried to make had been going through some turbulence. He'd come down here at her suggestion for his birthday, with friends, but that wasn't the same thing as catching up. So when he finished work and found himself with a free afternoon, he headed for the Bar Fly instead of heading home.
Not long after, sitting in a booth across the table from her and nursing a cold beer, he was relaxing and feeling glad that he'd come. But, "At some point, we ought to do something other than drink together," he said, slightly amused. "By which I mean, you should get more of a break than hanging out with me just at work."
Exactly what else they could do was another question, but he figured he might as well put it out there. It wasn't that he minded the bar scene, although it was true that he'd never been the type to really hang out in bars on a regular basis. He drank regularly, sometimes because he just liked the taste of beer, and sometimes because he needed something to take the edge off. But he hadn't needed the latter as much since things had started to work out for him here. It had been a few weeks now, and his main concern at the moment was Cas and Gabriel. But that was a worry for a different time.
"But anyway," he said. "How've you been? What have I missed?"
