Who: Castiel, Sam Winchester, Adam Winchester, and Charlie Bradbury (aka Team Free Will)
Where: Team Free Will House
When: Saturday evening
What: Castiel is exhibiting some strange side-effects from being bitten. Team Free Will gets the brunt of the storm.
Status: Incomplete
Warnings: Angry!Cas

It had been exactly one week since the incident at the hospital. If Cas didn't know any better, he would say that all of Hell had been let loose on the city. All in just one week the situation had gone from bad to worse. Somehow, it was still going downhill, and so was Cas.

It had started with a burst of power that came with healing a patient. He knew he wasn't supposed to be using his power so frivolously, because it seemed to be draining out of him quickly. He needed his grace back, but it was all gone. It wouldn't have even mattered if he could at least help people in some way. He felt silly praying for strength, praying to be revitalized for the sake of the survival of humanity. But he had prayed, and somehow, it had come through for him. His palm had glowed white, and Cas could feel the power surging through his body once more. The power grew exponentially, seeped into his mind and took over every firing neuron. It felt like heaven on earth.

Cas didn't think. It was easier to just act on impulse. His power was flowing through him, into the body of the sickly person in front of him, but something was going wrong. Instead of the person getting better, they seemed to be getting worse. Decaying and writhing before his eyes. Still, Cas continued to sizzle the person with his power. His brain had shut off by this point. It felt good to just feel the power, to witness what he could do once again. It was glorious.

That was the first patient he had killed. There had been dozens of others since then. The people he had once wanted to save were now piles of ashes left behind in his wake. He was not thinking, not reasoning. Only acting. He destroyed everything in his path. For all intents and purposes, Castiel was a zombie. Just because he didn't stagger as he walked nor did he have the distinct desire to eat brains didn't mean he wasn't brainless himself. The disease had somehow taken over Cas's weakening body and turned him into something more than just a zombie. He was a super zombie.

He waited for them at home. It was their house and some part of Castiel's dead brain still led him in that direction (perhaps the part that was trying to ask for help or to warn his friends). Instead, he was here to kill them all. Cas had all his old powers back but with none of the control necessary to use them appropriately. It was worse than when he was taken over by the Leviathan. Even then, his purpose was directed elsewhere. As a super zombie, he had no purpose whatsoever. Other than killing and making use of his awesome power
