Yami no Matsuei, Touda/Tsuzuki/Byakko, taking the pain away
It was when Tsuzuki’s smile was strained and brittle, like too thin glass that would shatter and cut the shinigami’s gentle soul, that they were needed the most. That was when he needed his Serpent and his Tiger to make him forget his troubles and give him something different to focus on.
Not that Byakko would ever complain when he was drinking down Tsuzuki’s breathy moans while Touda demonstrated again why snakes made the best lovers with their lack of gag reflexes. Tsuzuki never ordered any of them to his bed, not wanting to be reminded that he was their Master despite wanting to be their friend, but Byakko and Touda could read the small commands in Tsuzuki’s body, following them to touch him how he needed to be touched to take the pain away that was usually inflicted by the bastard Muraki.
The only words that ever left Tsuzuki’s lips were ‘please’ and ‘yes’ when Byakko slid into him, pushing him farther into Touda as the Serpent curled long legs around them both in an imitation of his usual coils. Byakko would stoke his tail against whatever flesh he could reach as they moved together while Tsuzuki’s short nails would dig into skin, desperately hanging on to them as if his very sanity was tied into them not leaving him. They would move together with gentle motions, soft murmurs filling the air as the two shikigami worshiped their master with their bodies while soothing the wounds left on his soul.
When they were done and lying in a tangle of limbs, Touda and Byakko would cuddle close to Tsuzuki as silent tears ran down their master’s face, washing the pain away, and hold him as Tsuzuki drifted off into a nightmare free sleep to Byakko’s rumbling purrs and Touda’s curling heat. They would follow him into sleep, watching over his dreams even as they watched over his waking days, ready for the next time they were needed.
