The Chronicles of Master Li and Number 10 Ox/Vagrant Story, Moon Boy/Sydney, desired
Sitting in a corner of the ruined Cathedral, Master Li smirked as he watched Moon Boy and the Sorcerer Sydney move together in the oldest dance of mankind. The dark fall of Moon Boy’s hair contrasted with the sunshine gold of Sydney’s even as the silver arms of the sorcerer chimed with each movement, the pure notes ringing through the air in a pleasant harmony to the breathy gasps and murmured compliments. Master Li might not be ninety any longer, but that did not mean he was blind to beauty whenever it presented itself to him.
The two men, young in body but ancient in soul, were quite beautiful, sunlight and moonlight dancing together, twined limbs and skin shimmering in the firelight. Neither one was bashful or shy, not with the sly feline smile curling Sydney’s lips as he was aware of the eyes that followed him or the lustful fires that never seemed to die in Moon Boy’s bright eyes, reminding all that the rabbits that ruled that Celestial Body his name came from. Even now, Master Li was sure they could feel the eyes that burned with desire for them watching them from the shadows, especially with the way legs were spread to give unobstructed views of where their bodies joined while backs arched and heads moved aside in artistic ways.
The Sun and the Moon twined together, teasing and taunting their watchers in a display fit for the Emperor’s Court, all the more beautiful for the mortal shells they wore and in the surroundings of the ruined Cathedral where they could be worshiped properly.
Ah, to be ninety again, Master Li mentally sighed with a wistful smile on his wrinkled face as he watched the Celestial Bodies dance together.
