Re: "Elastic", 3/3
I'm a bit obsessive-compulsive, so I felt compelled to read Venn Diagram first - and I'm glad I did. I loved the overlapping layers and opposing influences in the story, and the way they all interlocked with Subaru and Seishirou's relationship (especially knowing how the scene in general, and Subaru's experience therein in particular, mirrors their future interactions). Elastic was such a natural follow-up to the story.
Nostalgia, yes. I admit to dragging out the X/1999 manga last night for the first time in years and flipping through things. (I only wish I still had access to copies of Tokyo Babylon. Woe.) I am glad to know that the fandom isn't dead, or that more people are becoming interested in the older series.
Also, I read through some more of your fics here and a bit of your journal. Hope you don't mind that I friended you. I'm normally not all that talkative (terribly shy, actually), but I would like to keep reading.
