Gabriel, Gabriel/Jade, heights
She knows this place. The roofs -- still -- are her territory. After she fell, she still prowled them, but not for long. After a while it became to painful, and she stopped leaving the gutter. It wasn't worth her time.
But she still remembers this place. The landscape of steel and concrete and twisted metal, the smooth slopes and quick drops, the very edges of the tallest building where you could look over the city, like one tar-black breathing beast, and wonder what if would be like if it was still yours to defend.
It didn't seem like the kind of thing Gabriel would ponder. Gabriel had chosen to Fall. Gabriel had a peace in his decision she'd lacked for a long time, but now -- dressed in a courier's uniform, tired and aching with her pockets full of tips, human, mortal, and deeply anticipating the smile on his face -- Jade thought she was coming to terms with her own mortality.
"Gabe?' She called softly, and there it was, there was that smile. He reached out and she came, kissing him softly, his fingers flexing against the small of her back. He slid off the ledge and down to the ground and she came with him, kneeling over his thighs, continuing to kiss him as she cupped his face, rubbing her thumbs against his jaw.
Gabriel liked to kiss. He liked to touch -- he was practically addicted to it. It fascinated him, the pleasure in simple human contact, and he practically basked in it, rubbing his face on her belly when they slept in together tangled in sheets, making her snort with unwilling laughter and swat at him.
Jade liked to kiss, too, but at heart she was a girl that liked to get down to the heart of the matter. She liked to have him deep inside her, his lips tracing his cheek, mouth, over her fragile eyelids, moving slow or fast as he pleased as her fists tangled in the sheets.
She shifted her hips now, his fingers cool and graceful as they slid up the inside of her thigh. He tipped his face up, smiling half-shy and half-beatific, and she bent to kiss him as he stroked her like he might touch something holy.
