Final Fantasy VII, AC!Cloud/CC!Sephiroth, timetravel, he was supposed to kill him
Ahah, timetravel-kink, who me? *ahem* More plot-y than smex-y, sorry ^^;;
*******
They were almost to Nibelheim when something slammed into the truck like a freight train.
Sephiroth struggled up out of the snow, pieces of mutilated truck melting the snow around him. He spared a moment to worry about Lt. Fair and the Shinra regulars, but a descending blade wiped all other thoughts from his mind as he twisted and summoned his sword in half a breath, feeling the enemy's heavy blade sing half-a-hair away from his face.
Jumping back, there was no time to do anything but defend, deflecting or dodging the massive hunk of steel as it sang a deadly dance, denying him time to think, time to act. It knew his every move, all his tactics, countering his Masamune's lithe flicks before they were even half-formed.
Try as he might, he could not get the range he needed to bring his lady into play, the massive blade always within his guard, striking, striking, always striking. Blood started to trickle down from shallow cuts across his cheek, his arm, his chest, although he wasn't feeling them yet. At this rate, he'd be dead before he could.
For a fraction of a second he had room to move, but it was barely enough to throw himself to the side as the heavy air alerted him to the Limit that scorched the snow and rocks where he'd been only an instant before, and then the glowing blade was back, always advancing, finding openings or making them through sheer momentum.
A snow-covered stone twisted under his heel, and Sephiroth sprawled back into dirty, trampled slush, the edge of his enemy's blade following eagerly, diving in for the kill-
and stopped, not an inch from his throat.
"N-nnnnooo-oo," his assailant gritted out through clenched teeth, sword-tip trembling and dipping as Sephiroth scrambled ungraciously out of the way.
Burning blue eyes snapped to his, and Sephiroth could hardly credit it - SOLDIER bright and dilating erratically, the man's eyes were slit-pupiled, just as his own.
Glowing blue all over - Haste, Odin damnit- and then the man was pinning him to the slushy earth with SOLDIER strength, mouth twisted in a rictus grin.
"My Son, My S-sssssephiroth, d-don't go-," the blond rasped, jerking, spasming, eyes bright but human-round. Even as he watched though, they spiked out, mirroring his again. "Sephiroth."
There was a pull, like gravity, only not. The blond was the most enticing thing in the world, blotting out everything except the need to get closer, and closer still, to crawl inside the blond's skin until they were one, united.
Hot lips on his and a deft tongue filling his mouth with the taste of human male and mako and something else.
Everything was heat, skin and heat and touching, hands diving under black clothing to find soft, pliant skin that dipped and shivered under questing fingers and hot palms.
'reunion... reunion, reunionreunionre-'
Someone was sobbing, Sephiroth noticed dimly, and his mouth was cold. "Sh-she's here, we didn't think-" Sephiroth forced back the haze of lust and reunion, trying to still his body against the lush temptation sprawled on top of him.
"Don't go- don't go to Nibelheim, you'll burn, you'll burn it aAHk!!" The last sparks of a Sleep danced off the blond as he collapsed on top of Sephiroth.
"Sephiroth!"
Gulping in huge breaths of air, the pull relegated to a mere whisper, Sephiroth stared up at his second in command, Zack's worried face drawing closer as the SOLDIER reached out to lift the now-limp body off his.
Zack touched his Buster sword's hilt on his back to reassure himself, staring at the exact replica of it lying in the slush. "Huh? Uh. I- I don't know. I couldn't find Cloud but. Should we take him to Nibelheim? I think it's just an hour or two on foot."
It would be the sensible thing to do, Sephiroth acknowledged, and the faint pull agreed.
He couldn't place it though but something wasn't right, and the rest of his instincts were screaming at him to see it through.
