Final Fantasy VII, Genesis/Cloud, last ones left
Two heroes underneath the stars of destiny were back to back. The older was listening to Cloud, who felt guilty since Aerith’s death. « - You’re living in the past once again. » They should not forget their mistakes but thinking about them every time was not a solution.
« - Genesis … » Cloud paused « -What do you mean by that? » « - This. » A gently tap on the shoulder stressed his words. « - I’m not in mood to play with you. » « - Do you mean I’m bothering you? »
The younger one mumbled something between his lips, and then, did not say anything else. Looking at these gloomy eyes, soaked with lifestream, was simply marvellous. He knew Genesis loved teasing him and despite appearances, Cloud liked this secretly.
« - I presume you want me to stop. See that you do not regret your words. « - Do as you wish Genesis. « - Then, say it and look at me. » Cloud kept silent and lowered his baby blue eyes, ashamed.
« - I can’t … » « - You don’t have to be so disappointed. Just keep in my mind we are the living legacies of Angeal and Zack. »
Acting on impulse Genesis hugged Cloud, before burying his face in a smooth neck. He smelt Zack over the pale body: « - To honour the memory of them we can’t sink into darkness. We have so much to do. » Cloud coiled up in red leather arms and tightened his grip with complete confidence.
« - You’re right Genesis. Can … we fly away? « - If you trust me, we can. » The redhead kissed him lightly. That was why Zack‘s best friend turned red.
« - Y - Yes … » Cloud could not talk anymore and remained quiet. « - You’re so cute when you’re blushing. » As Genesis spread his black wing, they flied away, blessed and dearly beloved by the Goddess.
