Final Fantasy VII, Genesis/Cloud, don't worry
Loosing Zack had broken Cloud. Moreover, feeling that he would never see Aerith cry or smile again, almost dashed his hopes. Strife was not able to take care of his family, and therefore he became estranged from Tifa.
Even soft words and gentleness were not enough to soothe his pain, too hard to endure alone. In pieces and driven by forgotten memories, Cloud withdrew into himself against his will. That alone showed how he was crumbling into ruin.
Nobody could imagine two years of suffering and shame repressed for a long time, except him.
Black feathers floating across his path opened up new horizons. It was up to Cloud to follow them. They did not belong to Sephiroth, the man who destroyed everything he had. - No- These were made of stars, faith and love. Genesis smirked through breeze, and was thinking about dragging Cloud into the sky someday.
He had to live in the fair company of winds and butterflies.
« - Don’t worry … » The redhead said in a smooth voice, one that made Strife shiver. He was there, his angel, always keeping an eye on him all this time. A smile lightened mako eyes filled with trust before Cloud sped along the motorway.
