Red Dragon, Hannibal Lecter/Will Graham, sudden rush of panic
Will felt a sudden rush of panic whenever he remembered all the times Hannibal Lecter’s mouth, that cannibal maw, had been on his body.
Lecter had once bitten out a nurse’s tongue. Will didn’t want to think about all those times his own tongue had luxuriated between Lecter’s teeth.
It made him ill to remember how Lecter had nibbled on his clavicle, his nipples, gnawed around his belly button. It was unthinkable to him that his penis had been in Lecter’s mouth, teased by those vicious, devouring teeth.
He’d been in bed with a monster and never even known it. It was like finding out that what you thought was a friendly dog licking your face was in truth a carnivorous wolf tasting him.
Will could not sleep at night for thinking of the things he’d done with Lecter. When his wife Molly touched him, it made his skin crawl. Lecter’s love bites had never drawn blood but to Will it felt as though he were being consumed, after the fact.
