Yami no Matsuei, Muraki/Tatsumi, what would you do for him?
(I doubt this is exactly what the requester intended. Sorry. :D)
"What would you do for him?" the words whispered across his cheek, the body at his back, pressing him against the wall with hands, hips, warm though it shouldn't have been. Tatsumi could have struggled, could have fought against him, might have won, but for now, he just closed his eyes, feeling the cold of the brick sink into his skin.
"What would you do to free him from me, hm? Would you take his place? Would you deal with me? Does it make you sick to know that I've touched him in ways that you never can, never will, that even if you take him from me, he's mine in a way that he will never be yours? Does that eat away under your skin?" Tatsumi shook his head, slightly, feeling his glasses cut into the side of his cheek, but it wasn't a denial, not really.
"Would you sacrifice so that he doesn't have to, even though you know it's futile, would just buy him time? You would, wouldn't you..." it wasn't a question and he didn't bother to deny it, "You would scream for me, over and over again, just to save him from one," Muraki kicked his legs apart, his weight holding him to the wall turning more lewd than suggestive, "You would give yourself to me--"
"No," he said, simply and calmly, and here, in the shadows, the other's weight was nothing to him, an easy matter to move, to turn, to buffet him off like a fly, when he was here and in his element. "I would give everything I am to him. For him. Not to you." Comprehension dawned slowly in Muraki's eyes, crazed and denying,
"You can't possibly. They'll destr--"
Sometimes, disbelief was the best weapon. In the darkness, there was no reason to hold back.
Bloodstained and wounded, he headed back to Meifu. There would be paperwork to fill out and questions to answer. There were rules against this sort of thing, and he knew every last one, every last nightmarish punishment that would be handed down against this act.
But in the morning, when he woke up, Tsuzuki's nightmare would be over, and it would never return.
