Labyrinth, Jareth/Toby, fae
The Fae were not to be trusted. Sarah knew that even before her adventures in the Labyrinth with its mismatched gaze of the Goblin King watching her every move. She had done her best to instill the same wariness in Toby as he grew up, telling him stories of Fae trickery and changeling children. But, as Toby grew up, he began to take on the same ethereal qualities that the Goblin King had shown, the grace in his movements, the delicateness in his build. Sarah had taken to using the older tricks that she could find to ward off Fae, such as hanging cold iron around the house, or as close to it as she could get anymore. Unfortunately, that just served to drive Toby outside more often than not, and finally, she was forced to follow her half brother to the park one evening, the same park where she had played out her own fantasies so long ago. The nearly nocturnal walks worried her greatly.
She watched with worried eyes as he turned off the path, ducking between some trees to a small glen that she knew would be covered in violets at this time, and she quickened her footsteps to not loose sight of him. A gasp slipped out of her throat as she stared at the ethereal man that Toby was practically running to embrace, and tears appeared in her eyes as she watched the passionate kiss between them.
She had lost Toby to the Goblin King, not realizing that she had lost him the second she had wished him away all those years ago.
