Firstly, thank you both for your patience this last week. I'm sorry for my disappearance. I've been having a hell of a time trying to get enough free time to get in front of the computer. However, I still want to keep the line alive if you are both interested.
So ~citrine has bowed out. So before I go trolling the communities for a new Natalie, does anyone know someone they would like to invite? Pixie, I know you said you'd be up for playing Natalie. Is that something you still want to do?
Also, I'm new on this whole PSL moderation thing (obviously) so if either of you have any suggestions on what would make things better or more fun, please let me know!

Thank you all for expressing interest in this PSL! I have lots of ideas on how to make this line fun. I'm an erotica writer, so I look forward to this being a fun writing exercise.
Basically the concept is simple:
So far, the cast list appears to be as follows:

- NOAH NICHOLS played by Jared Padalecki, waxbox

If you want to make character journals/AIMs etc, go for it but it's not a requirement.
Though the inspiration for the line was a fan fic about Jared and Jensen and their wives, the female PBs are not restricted to Genevieve Cortese and Danneel Harris.
As far as the line goes. I'd like to try both a round robin kind of play and also everyone then break off into individual lines (I.E. Noah/Natalie, Celeste/Carter, Carter/Noah, Natalie/Celeste). ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) polyplay can be the container for all the lines. That way, we can establish the libertine Rhodeses seducing their innocent neighbors next door but also show how the "love square" affects both marriages. Surely there will be major differences - like one couple wants kids, the others don't. What would a pregnancy do to the equation? How do they handle a polygamous relationship in the face of society? How do they (namely Nat and Noah) handle this redefinition of their sexuality and their sweetheart relationship? How do Carter and Celeste handle caring about people aside from themselves?
So I'd love input and ideas and will field any questions! As a writer, I'm best for threading but I do have an AIM (pepperplots) for OOC plotting and sometimes I can play on AIM when I have the time.

"thou shall not covet thy neighbor..."
a polyamorous PSL set in Texas
CONCEPT: The year is 1969. Noah and Natalie Nichols* are a young newlywed couple from the Midwest whose fortunes have recently changed because of an inheritance. Their beloved grandmother passed away, leaving a cozy Victorian manse to the newlyweds - their final wedding present from Nana. So the Nicholses pack up and move to The Acres, a gated community in Round Rock, Texas, a suburb of the capital. Round Rock in the late sixties is an interesting mix - conservative oil money clashed with the youth counterculture from nearby UT Austin, the kids that went skinny dipping in Hippie Hollow and tried to bring a feel the Haight to the Deep South.
In this culture clash, there lies Carter and Celeste Rhodes*. Like Noah and Nat, the Rhodes are young and recently committed to each other. They also live in The Acres - in a sprawling, modern playhouse that has been featured in Architectural Digest. They are wealthy and fun, known for their sparkling shin-digs and booming barbecues.
The Rhodes have a fun little secret - they are swingers. Carter and Celeste, though deeply in love with each other, have sexual proclivities that requires...outside satisfaction. The virginal squares next door really strike their fancy. In something a little softer than Cruel Intentions, Carter and Celeste team up to lure the couple next door into their bedroom fantasies.
With time, their hearts and lives become entangled.

THE ROLES
CARTER - mysterious, libertine, devoted, intense, charismatic, possessive of his own - FILLED by acadie; PB: JENSEN ACKLES
CELESTE - exotic, gorgeous (and knows it!), sexually liberated, whipsmart, sparkling with charm
CELESTE AND CARTER are moneyed but don't act stuffy. Have no reservations. They should have bohemian jobs like civil rights attorneys, journalists, artists.
NOAH - principled, conservative, highly moral, white bread All-American guy, straight-laced and in need of seduction
NATALIE - naive, wholesome and sweet-natured, blushing but inquisitive, precocious, wants to break free and experiment
NATALIE AND NOAH are more traditional. I pictured them having more conventional jobs like she's a teacher, he's a banker. Again, these are up for discussion.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR: it really requires three other awesome writers to bring into the fold. i'll also try it with one other person and we can both play two parts - I would prefer to play one male/one female. Either way, this PSL requires writers that are comfortable writing het/slash/femmeslash. Ideally, this line will explore all possible facets of a poly relationship - the dramas, joys, tensions, and learning curves. I would prefer writers that are comfortable with writing sex scenes but if you prefer to FTB and are really interested in the idea, let me know!
The original line is set in Round Rock/Austin TX in 1969. I'm open to alternatives!
1. 1990s in Austin - relieve all the zeitgeist of the 90s, play out how a polyamorous couple would deal with the emerging AIDS crisis
2. Modern day Austin - the two couples are college/post-collegiates from the University of Texas at Austin
"RULES" : 1. Tag at least once a week, even if it's just a dropbox message to say you're busy. 2. It's a PSL so interaction with everyone involved would be optimal. Of course, some characters/writers are going to click better than others - but play that tension out! 3. Have fun! This is a writing exercise for me. I just want to play something cool with cool people.
