"Too?.. Hmn." It didn't come as too much of a surprise, he couldn't have been sure how long she had even been in the Distortion World before she got to leave. He'd learned enough to know that, while their encounter only seemed to last hours, it could have been days.
"Nothing is consistent anymore. I have been recovering from my return, now, for over six months. It has only felt like days. Days pass by in hours. But then, minutes can last for days. I have to stop myself before speaking because I don't know if I'm speaking to fast or slow... Or sometimes, even in the right order." A strange, choked sound came in his throat, sounding almost like a cough. A forced, strained laugh, sounding entirely unnatural. "When I first returned, I could only communicate through writing. It was the only way I could keep the words in the right order."
