He rolled his eyes at her. This wouldn't have been the first time that an employee, former in her case, had pleaded this case to her.
"Just a grunt, hm? Replaceable, yes?" He nodded. "Is that how you thought of yourself? You could have been something more, something greater. But then, did you truly want that?" He paused briefly, a smirk crossing his face, knowing that he was playing on her insecurities. "Or is that all that you wanted? To belong somewhere.
