We've been some what distant this week end. The reason? City of Heroes. legolad, suhina and I have been playing for hours and hours in the evening. I sorta want to have a all nighter, but I think that will have to wait until next weekend, when Mak is with his father.

We've been trying to get our characters - Daath, Imri, and Nashiim - up to lvl 20 so that we can get the extra costume slot as well as do the mission for the cape. *grins*

What do 2 level 50 villains do on a Saturday night?

Why we do a villain catapult!

Mandrake Nightshade and I went to Mercy Island and hung around where Kalinda hangs out (can't remember the name at the moment).

I'd teleport foe the target into position (sometimes takes 2 or 3 teleports since they weren't respawning much and had to venture farther to find more victims) and then freeze them into place with petrify gaze. Then Mandrake would use his knockback power (he didn't tell me what it was) and the enemies would fly!

At first we would just shoot them off the edge of the fort (handing around where the base portal is) but then we moved to the other side and started shooting the enemies off at lowbies!

OMG, I was laughing so hard I was crying and hiccuping... I'd yell "Pull!" and he'd knock them back! We had the locals and members from our super group and coalition watching off and on.

Man we did this for a while too... ahahaha....

We discovered the snakes went far, the rippers (thugs) didn't (or bottom heavy as Mandrake would say) and the cops seem to go far too.

So the Devs have let us know what we're in for in Issue 12 and it looks like it's gonna be awesome! Frankly, Issue 11 didn't do much for me but this one has a bunch of really interesting changes and additions. The full information is here but I'll do a quick overview:

After 300 hours of play I have gotten Moon over Twilight Ninja MM/Dark to level 50! My first level 50 on either City of Heroes or City of Villains!



Also been doing lots of Rikti hunting too!

And a blooper (?) for ya...

He's dead but bound and determined not to fall.

I checked my screen cap folder the other day and found several that I want to share. :o) My characters are all low levels, but I am working on it!

Well yesterday I ended up staying home from work because my youngest daughter was sick. So... with the time (in between looking after her)... I PLAYED CITY OF VILLAINS!!!! LOLOLOL

I was like 2 bars away from leveling to 46 on Tuesday night. So Wednesday I was running around doing patron mishes when I got an invite to team on a farming mish. The enemies were level 52 so I couldn't do anything other than reviving my team mates when they died. Thank goodness on a bank mayhem mish before I got debt protection cause I died a few times myself (I'm squishy). I leveled up to 46 first time in mish then hit 47 I think 2nd or 3rd time in.

We disbanded and off I went to do more patron mishes. I lackeyed somebody in our collation and he helped me out (being a stalker and all he'd sneak to end of mish and teleport me there where we'd fight the end bosses - I just wanted to finish the patron mishes). Ghost Widow is my patron and I had to do so many kidnapping mishes (I hate kidnaps... and caves!). Finally doing my last mish was to defeat Lord Recluse, I got a team together and off we went and won!

After we finished a level 50 brute (Nameless Toy) invited us to farm the TV mish so off we went again! Good XP, died a few times, revived a few and proceeded to level up through 48 to 49 w00t! I dc'd and when I came back the farming team had broken up. So went to the black market in the Cap, I went through 14mil infamy doing IO's. Mandrake (my usual evening teaming partner) comes on and goes "Holy Cow woman, 49?" hehehe... and when I last saw him Tuesday I was just 45, lololol. I leveled easier yesterday then when I played during double XP weekend, thanks XP smooth curving!

Oh Tuesday for the heck of it I made a new villain, A Lick of Frost, she's an ice/ice magic corrupter.

Someone reported my 'toon! his name comes from the movie 'Deuce Bigalow, European Gigolo', one of the funniest movies ever. I sent my name choices in response [the the email instructed] and I am waiting for response. The rest of the email said I'd better watch my Ps and Qs. Bah. I didn't even do anything. :/

OMG x_x what a weekend it was... I probably logged about 43 hours from Friday morning to Sunday Night. Friday (since I played hooky from work) was about 9am-11pm, Saturday 10am-3am, Sunday 9am-9pm.

I started the weekend at level 38 and am now a level 44. I was on my character (toon) Moon over Twilight the whole weekend.

That's right! Just in time for the Valentine's event (running from the 14th through the 28th), they've introduced the XP smoothing changes. You can read all about it in the latest patch notes for the game:

They've made a bunch of other fixes and such, so it's a longish read. Lots of interesting little fixes here and there.

As well, as part of the Valentine's event, on the 14th there will be a wedding ceremony for Manticore and Sister Psych, running on the test server. PlayNC is also selling a Wedding Pack for $9.99US, which gives people access to costume parts for a tuxedo, a wedding dress, and four special wedding-related /emote commands. You should receive an e-mail from PlayNC announcing all of these things.

Yeah it's double XP weekend for the win! I'm planning on playing my Lvl 40 Brute (fiery melee/dark armor), Malachite Fire. Getting her to 40 was a real grind and so I'm ready to see her advance.

Speaking of XP grind, the Devs have, in their wisdom, announced that they will be smoothing the XP curve. There's more about it here and I'm thrilled that they plan to have it all worked out by the middle of the month.

Thought I would try to get this community moving!

I started playing City of Villains (CoV) in April of 05 but only as a trial account and then only play when they would reactivate my account to try to lure me back but they got smart and stopped reactivating trial accounts so I broke down and bought it.

My first villain I played was Naa, she's currently a level 26 Mutant Dom but I hate her cause she dies so much, her war cry is "CRAPPIT!" x_x

So I made another villain, Moon over Twilight, and she's a Natural MasterMind (ninja's) and I love her so much! LOL She's currently at level 35 and the SG I'm a member of (Protean Protus) is very active and LK's so lower levels can get a chance to level up faster.

All my villains and heroes are on Liberty server so if you're there look me up. I'm mainly on Moon over Twilight.
