CHARACTERS: Kavi Rawal & Theo Blomqvist-Rose.
DATE & TIME: Sunday, April 12th sometime midmorning.
LOCATION: Outside a quaint bungalow.
RATING: PG-13 for mild violence.
SUMMARY: Sonata and Prism capture a member of the Organization.
WARNING: Description of bones breaking.

“What do you think the chances are of this guy being out at church right now?” Sonata asked as he pulled his eyes away from the front door of the small, ordinary bungalow to look at Prism. The house looked just like the rest of the ones on the quiet street and part of him wondered if this was indeed the home of someone supposedly involved in a secret organization. But then again, stereotypical suburbia was a great place to blend in and get lost.

“Not...as unlikely as they would be any other time of year,” Prism replied thoughtfully, his gaze still focused on the home they needed to infiltrate. Now would’ve been a great time to be able to detect technological additions to the otherwise unsuspecting home, so they could know what they were up against, but alas, he was no Mad Genius. “Ready to move?” He asked.

Turning his attention back to the bungalow, Sonata simply nodded before beginning to move toward the left. His feet made no sound as he strided along the grass with the intention of making his way around to the back of the house. Unfortunately, the finely tuned plans he had made with Prism were thrown out the window when he caught the front door opening in his peripheral vision.

“Shit.”

Prism moved to escape the front door’s line of sight, but it was clear they had nowhere to hide. Fuck. “All right,” he muttered. “We’re doing this.”

Like they’d assumed, their target spotted them with ease, and Prism threw a few softballs at him, primarily using a lob of quartz to block the door and keep the man from escaping back into the house.

As the man began to wildly looking around trying to find the source of the quartz, Sonata dodged behind some bushes, though they didn’t provide much cover. He silenced the small area around him in the hopes that it would help with keeping him hidden, but soon enough the man spotted him. Almost instantaneously, an odd and painful feeling began to radiate from his right ankle and as he went to pull his leg back, Sonata found the joint impossible to move.

“I think we have a bone manipulator on our hands!”

At Sonata’s alert, Prism shifted into quartz, decidedly still humanoid but his skeleton was no longer made of bone. He charged at the villain, using his speed boost to take him by surprise and break his concentration in whatever he was doing to Sonata. “You good?” He called over his shoulder to the other hero, after successfully breaking that connection.

“Never been better!” Sonata answered without thinking to disguise his voice as the target struggled to maintain his balance. Hoping to throw it off completely, a directed sound wave was aimed just in front of the gentleman’s feet. A sudden burst of earth followed a second later as the man tumbled backward onto the grass.

Prism nodded. His partner was okay.

But this man was persistent.

In trying to get away. The man they were trying to apprehend was currently dead sprinting across the lawn towards his car.

As the man started running, Sonata considered running after him, but it seemed the perpetrator also had a speed boost. He was just far enough ahead that made trying to catch up with him impossible and letting the man speed away in his car definitely wasn’t an option. The man needed stopped. Fast.

The first targeted sound wave hit the side of the vehicle causing a large dent, but otherwise not destroying the car’s ability to drive. At the sound of crushing metal, the perpetrator slowed his run to a brisk walk and took a moment to look back over his shoulder at the two heros. That was the moment a second concentrated soundwave was admitted, striking his leg just below the kneecap. With a sickening snap, his tibia cracked and splintered, exiting through the perpetrator’s muscle and skin of his lower leg a moment later.

Prism would've winced if he hadn't been trying to subdue the target. Catching up to him again, the heroes knew he wasn't going anywhere, but the bleeding needed to be stopped. “Text HQ. Suspect apprehended. Requesting medical,” Prism said into his Apple Watch, before tending to the wound. To the target, he added, “You'll be fine. We need you to answer some questions, anyway.”
