Ethan was rewarded with a grunt of agreement from Nate when he referred to the day as bad. If there was anything Ethan said that Nate would readily accept as truth, it was that. It was only when Ethan implied the sandwich could have potentially been a trap that Nate's chewing slowed for a few doubtful seconds. Was the guy playing at something? The sandwich still tasted all right.
He resumed chewing at full speed.
"Nate," he said, around a mouthful of wheat bread. "I know your face from dinner last night." And from the cameras, but just barely. He hadn't automatically registered on Nate's radar the way some others had. "You a smoker too?"
