Delaney rolled her eyes a bit when Trix mentioned college, because she hadn't gone, but she didn't say that. She was busy trying to keep up with what everyone was doing and wearing and also wondering why the girls who'd been tucked away upstairs had to be quite so attractive. She kept her insecurities well-hidden most of the time, but having more gorgeous girls to compete with wasn't necessarily a good thing. Audrey and Daphne both seemed to have self-confidence to burn, so really all Delaney could do was brazen it out as though she felt the same way.
She didn't complain about being tapped to go first by Daphne, because everyone was paying attention to her right now, and wasn't that what it was all about? She crossed her legs, swinging her foot languidly, glancing from one woman to the next with a mildly coy smile on her face. Milking the suspense, she seemed to be in deep thought as the silence stretched out, and then she said, "Truth." How would they know whether or not she was telling the truth, after all? None of these women knew her.
