Delaney was having a good time so far. In all honesty, hanging out with women with no males around wasn't something she necessarily did all that often, but she could see the benefit of it, in a sense. She'd been following the whole Daphne/Camber drama on the journals, and while she wasn't inclined to do something as middle-schoolish as pick sides at this point, she did think that Camber had been unnecessarily abrasive about it. Daphne seemed very sweet, upbeat, friendly, and she'd seemed sincerely hurt at Camber's sarcasm. Well, it was probably to be expected. When had a group of females ever gotten along completely seamlessly?
She'd brought down a bag of her most elegant accessories, scarves, jewelry and a couple of dresses that were designer. A lot of her things were knock-offs, and she didn't have a problem with that, but for this she'd only bring her A-game, so to speak. Daphne, at least, would immediately know the difference, she thought. She'd been watching Lark and smiling amiably at her objections, and her head turned back in Daphne's direction when she suggested truth or dare. "Wow, I haven't played that since high school," she commented, but she didn't sound as if she minded the idea.
