"Is that a promise?" Audrey asked, back on her feet and dancing a few steps out of reach. She grinned at him. "You're starting to sound a little grumpy, mate." She had to give it to him - he clearly wasn't used to hitting women. She could read that loud and clear in his body language. It was an unexpected bit of decency in an otherwise irritatingly chauvanist personality. Restraint like that deserved a reward, she supposed, and it wasn't like she was going to draw the fight out forever.
"So that's how you like it?" she countered, deliberately putting a few holes in her defense as if she were tiring - or just getting sloppy. "Let the woman do all the work?" Eyes flashing with humor, she darted forward for another volley of jabs aimed at his midsection. She'd seen him planning something - she wanted to see what he'd do when she let him get close again.
