Like the sun we will live to rise
Who: Spencer and Emily
Where: the kitchen
When: morning, around 9am
As terribly exciting as it was to learn that there were ten additional people in the experiment, Emily's stomach gave a growl of epic proportions, effectively cutting short her time on the computer journals. Jumping up, she hummed a little as she grabbed some clothes to throw on before leaving her room -- it wouldn't do to walk around in her pjs all day! Shutting her door on her way out, she rushed along the hallway to the staircase, the grumble of hunger urging her on to the kitchen. It'd only been a few days since she'd been in the mansion and already her body was acclimating to a later schedule. Days at the zoo began while the sun was not yet up, and it had been a relief just to sleep in. Still, the habit of routine had gotten the better of Emily in that she couldn't sleep in past seven. A fact that would bother her if she had any energy left for that sort of thing. No, all of Emily's energy was directed into getting to meet as many people as possible -- and now she had even more people that she would need to track down so as to put the proper names to the proper faces. It was like some grand social roller-coaster, and she felt like she was already behind. Most of the others already had almost a full week on her and that made Emily feel anxious. What if they didn't like her?
All thoughts of anxiety went as quickly as they came once the brunette breezed into the kitchen. As hungry as she was, it didn't make sense to spend any extra time making something -- cereal was just as good a breakfast as anything, really. She fumbled around in the cabinets, looking for the unmistakeable forms of cereal boxes before she found what she was looking for. In no time at all she had a bowl in hand, leaning back against one of the counters while she ate. It was amazing the amount of food that was always readily available. It posed the question of when the scientists restocked the cupboards and how. Did they just walk in the foyer? Even in the few days that she'd been there, Emily hadn't seen very many people about and it was all sorts of eerie. Whether it was the arctic temperature of the milk in her cereal or the creepy feeling of scientists ninja-ing the food in here, Emily didn't know, but a chill went down her spine. For as many people as there were living here, it got awfully quiet and lonely. A thought that Emily carefully hoped to overlook to keep from spooking herself completely. "Just breathe, it's just a creepy big house."
