Who: Delaney and Lark When: midday Where: the foyer to start
Delaney had been coveting the grand piano in the foyer ever since she'd arrived here, and she thought that now might be as good of a time as any to check it out a little more closely. It was late enough in the day that she shouldn't be disturbing anyone who lived on this floor; she wasn't even sure how well sound carried. In a house with this many people, she'd think that some effort might be made to soundproof at least somewhat. She trailed down the main staircase slowly, her fingers skimming over the polished banister, automatically smiling as she saw how the light in the foyer reflected off of everything. Really, this house was amazing.
She sat herself down on the piano bench and played a scale, keeping her touch on the keys soft. While she was all for making a display of herself, it was foolish to do that when there was nobody around. She was enjoying the sound of the piano, how clearly top-of-the-line it was, and music was one thing in which she could truly lose herself, given the opportunity. Delaney was feeling mellow, now that she was calmed down from ruminating over her date with Chris - oh, that boy was trouble, but trouble she wanted more of, for sure - and she paused with her fingers over the keys. A mellow song. Hmm.
She began playing 'Jar of Hearts', loving how pure and crystal-clear the notes sounded on this instrument, a faint smile on her face as she softly started in on the first verse.
