almost famous
Who: Spencer and Nate When: Day 7; mid-afternoon Where: Common area
Watching the big screens in the common area was more relaxing somehow, so since their introduction Nate had been spending more time than usual on the couch in front of the TV spying on people, rather than hiding out in his room doing so. He'd finished his lunch of a ham and cheese sandwich approximately thirty seconds ago, and so he was busy using his pinkie finger to pick bread from between his teeth. Not such a charming sight for the public sphere, but then Nate barely remembered the etiquette lessons his mother had half-heartedly tried to make stick in his brain when he was little, and prison hadn't reinforced any of them.
He planned to sit there for a while, studying the subjects on screen more closely than before. Despite everything, the isolation week had gone by quickly, and Nate didn't find himself prepared to merge. What would the people in A say? More importantly, what would he say? Only time would tell. Most likely, whatever tumbled out of his mouth first would set the mood of his attitude toward the larger experiment. Whatever happened, joining them meant he had access to the game rooms and every other luxury ExB had gone without. Nate was looking forward to that.
