When Audrey revealed there was water in the dumbwaiter, Nate wondered why he hadn't thought to check there. The scientists were dumbasses who couldn't control their own experiments (why else would it be so hot on the fourth floor?), but at least they were apologetic. He caught the bottle and let it cool his palms for a few moments before the cap came off.
"You're from Australia?" Nate was smirking from her 'hard on the arse' comment, but he was more fixated on the personal information. Maybe he'd already learned of Audrey's origins, but he was finding the accents difficult to keep tabs on. Half of everyone was lucky he knew their name, let alone where they hailed from. "Then you don't know about snow?"
Nate licked his bottom lip as water dribbled past the bottle's mouth and missed his. Once he lowered the drink, Nate wiped at his forehead in an attempt to look less wilted. He didn't exactly know what that meant, but when Audrey followed up asking about heatstroke he guessed he looked very hot. "No. I'm not gonna die." His voice was a little harder than he intended, but he didn't like looking weak.
