"Soon, probably," Audrey said as she leaned in to check for drinks - and to give the kid a little more time to check out her ass while she pretended she didn't know exactly what he was doing. Sure enough, frosty bottles of water. She took two and straightened, bumping the door shut with a hip as she turned and tossed him the second. She twisted the cap off hers, flicking it so that the cap landed atop the washing machine, and slid down until she was sitting on the floor, too. "Getting to be about that time, but this was what I was looking for. Not bad, sitting down here, either. A little hard on the arse but I'll take the trade-off for now." She took a drink, capping the bottle when she was done. "Thought I'd left heat like this behind when I left Australia and saw all the snow."
She eyed him, shirtless - she imagined most of the men would be. Hell, if the heat got a lot worse, she might join them. "You look a little wilted, mate," was her eventual observation. "Not gonna get heatstroke and croak on us, are you?" It was no little thing - nausea, chills, thirsty as all get-out. She wondered at the scientists' response time should someone have an emergency. If she were running the show, she might just sit back adn see how everyone handled it.
