Nate had averted his gaze from the ceiling as soon as he'd heard someone approach, and it lingered on the newcomer with interest as she appeared in the doorway. While Audrey wasn't the kind of woman Nate tended to pursue, it wasn't because of lack of interest. The skin she bared looked good, though he wasn't about to tell her so with words. He'd let his body language do the talking, sitting up at sudden attention as he pretended to be interested in the dumbwaiter while he was really checking out her ass.
"Nah, we ain't allowed that kinda action upstairs," he said, complaining for the millionth time about being trapped upstairs. Nate wasn't going stir-crazy and he wasn't about to start clawing at the walls, but he couldn't deny being annoyed. Sure, the scientists had begun fucking with a couple people downstairs (Nate had laughed about it already), but it got old fast when there was no interaction on his part. Watching a computer screen for half the day made his brain feel like mush.
"Food's coming?" That was a more important matter, and though he wasn't really hungry he didn't mind eating out of boredom.
